The short version
EN uses identity, gameplay, transaction and technical information to run one connected gaming account, deliver purchases, publish profiles and leaderboards, keep servers fair, and support the community. We do not need your full card number: enabled payment processors handle card entry.
Who this policy covers
This Policy explains how Eroded Networks ("EN", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal information when you use erodednetworks.com, supported game servers, public profiles, leaderboards, achievements, progression, inventories, Duels, the Store, support and notification tools, or connected Discord and game-platform features.
We aim to handle information transparently and consistently with privacy laws that apply to us. This Policy does not claim that every privacy law applies in every situation. Third-party platforms have their own privacy policies for information they collect under their control.
Information we handle
The information depends on the features you use and can include:
- Account and identity: EN user ID, display name, avatar, Steam, Discord and Plutonium or other game identifiers, linked-account status, roles, account timestamps and authentication/session records.
- Profile and community: biography, social links, selected cosmetics, badges, featured achievements, comments, support tickets, reports, notification preferences and messages you send to us.
- Gameplay and progression: servers joined, sessions, playtime, connection events, scores, kills, deaths, rounds, maps, XP, levels, prestige, achievements, records, rankings, rewards, inventory and Duel results.
- Economy and purchases: Credits, Server Cash, conversions, package grants, memberships, gift recipient, order and payment-provider references, amount, currency, status, refunds, disputes and fulfilment history. Card details entered in Stripe Checkout are handled by Stripe rather than stored by EN.
- Safety and moderation: server logs, chat or command records where logged, anti-cheat and telemetry signals, bans, warnings, reports, evidence, appeal records and staff audit history.
- Technical and usage: IP address, request time, browser/device information, pages and features used, cookies, session identifiers, push-notification subscription details, errors, latency, service health and security events.
Please do not send identity documents, financial account details, health information or other sensitive material unless support specifically needs it and provides a suitable method.
Where information comes from
We collect information directly from you when you sign in, customise a profile, make a purchase, submit content or contact support. We also receive it automatically from EN websites and game servers when you connect or play.
Linked providers can supply account details you authorise them to share, such as a stable account identifier, display name and avatar. Payment providers send transaction status and reference data needed for fulfilment. Community bots and supported server integrations send linking, role, membership, gameplay, reward, moderation and health events. Other members or staff may provide reports or comments involving you.
If required information is not provided, we may be unable to link your identity, preserve cross-server progression, deliver an order, investigate a report or provide the requested feature.
How we use information
We use information where reasonably needed to:
- authenticate users and maintain one persistent identity across supported services;
- run game servers, progression, achievements, inventories, rewards, profiles, leaderboards, records, Duels and community memberships;
- process, verify, deliver, reconcile and support Store purchases, gifts, balances, refunds and payment disputes;
- link Discord, Steam and game identities, synchronise eligible roles or entitlements, and send service, support, community or optional promotional notifications through channels you enable;
- provide support, moderate conduct, investigate cheating or fraud, secure accounts and services, and keep auditable records of sensitive actions;
- measure real service use, diagnose errors, operate the community-wide Status page and publish relevant changes through the Changelog; and
- comply with legal obligations, respond to valid legal requests, resolve disputes and protect the rights and safety of EN, its members and others.
Automated checks can calculate progression, resolve server-side rewards, detect service failures or flag suspicious behaviour. A moderation flag may be reviewed by staff, and you can ask support to review an enforcement decision.
Information visible to the community
Gaming networks work through shared identity and records. Depending on your settings and activity, public pages may show your display name, avatar, linked-platform identity, profile text, cosmetics, badges, achievements, level, prestige, gameplay statistics, leaderboard placement, records, server activity and comments.
Where Store contributor visibility is enabled, the Store may recognise a current monthly supporter using their display name, avatar and monthly support total. We do not publish payment card details. Contact support if you need supporter recognition hidden or believe public information is inaccurate.
Anything you choose to post publicly can be copied by other people or indexed outside EN. Use profile visibility and comment controls where available and avoid publishing personal contact or location details.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above. The period varies: short-lived security logs and sessions can expire quickly, while account identity, persistent progression, leaderboard history, purchases, moderation evidence and audit records may be retained for longer to preserve service integrity or meet legal and accounting needs.
If information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify or securely isolate it, subject to backups, fraud prevention, dispute records and legal obligations. A deletion request may not require removal of genuinely de-identified statistics or records we must lawfully keep.
We use access controls, authenticated integrations, transport encryption, payment-provider checkout, auditing and operational safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If an incident creates a risk requiring notification under applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected people and authorities as required.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can update some profile fields, cosmetics, comments and notification choices through your account. For changes that could affect ownership of progression or balances, including unlinking an identity, use the audited support process.
You may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you and provide access where required or reasonably practicable;
- correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading;
- delete or de-identify information where reasonably practicable and not required for security, dispute resolution, service integrity or law;
- review public supporter recognition or profile information; and
- stop optional browser or Discord notifications.
Send a request from the linked account where possible and describe what you need. We may ask for enough information to verify that the request concerns you. We will respond within a reasonable period and explain if we cannot complete all or part of a request.
Children and young people
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and users must meet the age requirements of each linked game or platform. Young people should use only age-appropriate games and should not publish their real-world location, school, phone number or other identifying details on a profile or in chat.
If you are under 18, involve a parent or guardian before making a purchase or sharing information you do not understand. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information inappropriately should contact us so we can investigate and take suitable action.
External links and policy changes
EN pages can link to third-party websites or community resources. We do not control an external site's information practices and encourage you to read its policy before providing information.
We may update this Policy when features, providers or legal requirements change. The last-updated date appears at the top. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice through the main website, Changelog, Discord or another suitable channel.
Contact, access and complaints
Contact Eroded Networks administration at admin@erodednetworks.com or open a private support ticket through the official EN Discord (opens in a new tab). Include "Privacy request" in the subject or ticket title and explain the account or information involved.
